Dr Karolina Juszczyk

Dr Karolina Juszczyk is a specialist colorectal surgeon with a focused clinical practice in functional bowel disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction including faecal incontinence. 

She obtained her Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019, having completed a Masters of Surgery degree from the University of Sydney. She has trained across major tertiary centres in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and the Northern Territory and completed her advanced post-Fellowship training through the Australian and New Zealand Training Board in Colorectal Surgery. She has also worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in South Sudan, bringing prior experience to resource-limited healthcare settings. Her clinical practice is informed by ongoing research in functional colorectal conditions with peer-reviewed publications addressing pelvic floor dysfunction, anal incontinence, postpartum sphincter injury, and patient-reported outcomes following colorectal disease treatment.

Dr Juszczyk holds a public appointment as a consultant colorectal surgeon at the Lyell McEwin Hospital. She consults at 142 Ward Street and at Central Districts Hospital. She operates at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital and Central District Hospital. 

Dr Juszczyk provides a full range of colorectal surgical services and welcomes referrals for the assessment and management of colorectal cancers, inflammatory bowel diseases, functional bowel disorders, pelvic floor disease and complex anorectal conditions.
